SELF-CLEANING FUNCTION

After about 11 ironing hours, the indication light of the self-cleaning button will
start flashing. This means you need to clean the iron.
1. Hold the iron over a sink.
2. Press the self-cleaning button for a few seconds. The indication light will
flash during the descaling process.
3. The pump will allow water to flow through the iron, cleaning it
itself. This will take about one minute.
4. If the appliance has been cleaned sufficiently, the appliance will
turn of automatically.
5. Replace afterwards the anti-scale cartridge by opening the
compartment and by pulling out the cartridge vertically.
After you have replaced your descaling cartridge, it will take a little while before you get steam out of your
iron. This is normal and happens because your cartridge is still completely dry and it takes a bit for all the
water in the generator to pass through entirely. We therefore advise you to replace the descaling cartridge
the night before you plan on ironing, making sure it's drenched.
