Control Panel Symbols
The following are descriptions of the symbols on the control
panel. All symbols and controls are located on the control panel
at the back of the unit.
Heat Source Icon —
The heat source icon consists of a bar with heat waves and
appears next to the temperature control for each heat source.
The location of the heat waves, either above or below the bar,
indicates whether the knob/switch controls bottom heat or
overhead heat.
Shelf Indicator —
The shelf indicator is a number that corresponds to the shelf
that the knob/switch controls. "1" refers to the bottom shelf or
base of the unit.
Startup
1. Plug the unit into a properly grounded electrical outlet of
the correct voltage, size, and plug configuration. See the
SPECIFICATIONS section for details.
• Units with two power cords must each be plugged into
individual branch circuits.
2. Move the Power I/O (on/off) switch(es) to the I (on)
position.
• The overhead strip heaters and overhead lights will turn
on.
• The heated base/shelves will energize.
NOTE: All Power I/O (on/off) switches must be in the I
(on) position for the heated base/shelves to function.
CAUTION
BURN HAZARD: Some exterior surfaces on unit will get
hot. Use caution when touching these areas.
(Bottom Heat)
3. Turn the Temperature Control(s) to the desired temperature
setting. The operating temperature range of the heated
base/shelves is from room temperature to approximately

the temperature setting. Turning the Temperature
Control counterclockwise will decrease the temperature
