Pairing
The adjustment key and display unit exchange data via Bluetooth®.
In order to avoid the possibility that other Bluetooth® devices attempt to com-
municate with the adjustment key or the display unit, the operation known as
the Bluetooth® pairing process will always be completed when new batteries
are inserted and the unit is first switched on.
During this process, the adjustment key and display unit exchange device codes
that prevent another Bluetooth® device from being able to communicate with
the display unit or the adjustment key.
After it has been attached, the light ring on the adjustment key flashes blue,
signalling that the Bluetooth® connection to the display unit is being sought.
The pairing is complete when the position value appears in the display unit. This
operation can take up to 15 seconds.
If pairing is not achieved, i.e. no position value appears in the screen of the display
unit and the light ring of the adjustment key continues to flash, check the battery
status display. To do this, remove the batteries from the display unit when in the
ON status and re-insert them.
The adjustment key and display unit make another attempt to establish a con-
nection with each other. If this pairing attempt is also unsuccessful, use a battery
tester to check the charge status of the batteries in the adjustment key and display
unit, and replace them with new batteries, if necessary.
n.B.: When replacing batteries, change all the batteries in the particular unit.
If more than one MicroKom BluFlex® systems is being operated in parallel, it
is recommended that the fine-adjustment heads are adjusted in succession, or
with only one operating set (display unit and adjustment key)in order to prevent
the various display units and adjustment keys from being accidentally combined.
