• Soft material such as leaves, stems and stalks can block the intake opening. Push in soft material
using the pusher provided.
• Always feed the material to be shredded into the intake opening from the left-hand side.
• Check the material to be shredded carefully. Make sure that it doesn't contain stones or nails,
as these could seriously damage the shredder.
• Watch out for vibrations. Strong vibrations are caused by damaged or worn blades. Replace the
blades if necessary.
7.0 MAINTENANCE AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS
• IMPORTANT! Make sure that the shredder is switched off and disconnected from the power
supply. Wait until all moving parts have come to a complete stop and the appliance has cooled
down before carrying out cleaning and maintenance work.
• Check all the parts for signs of wear. Do not continue to use the product if you find any defects.
• Parts should only be replaced with original spare parts, and by an expert, in accordance with
the manufacturer's specifications.
• Have the appliance inspected and serviced by a qualified service technician. Do not attempt to
repair the appliance yourself unless you are suitably qualified.
• WARNING! Risk of injury from dangerous moving parts!
• Always wear sturdy protective gloves when cleaning the cutting blades.
• To ensure electrical safety, the appliance must not be treated with or immersed in liquids.
• Clean the shredder directly after every use. Do not allow shredded material to dry and harden
on the surfaces of the shredder. This has a direct negative effect on shredding performance.
• Keep the ventilation slots clean and free of dust.
• Oil the blades after every 4th or 5th use with a suitable oil.
• Brush off dirt and plant residues. Wipe the outside of the shredder clean with a damp cloth.
• Never use cleaning agents or solvents. These could cause irreparable damage to the appliance.
Plastic parts can be damaged by the use of chemicals.
• A lack of care and maintenance can damage the appliance. Dangerous situations can arise.
• Regular maintenance helps to ensure the safety of the product and increases its service life.
7.1 REPLACING THE CUTTING BLADES
NOTE: If the existing blades are blunt, they can be turned once by 180° and reused.
If the blades need replacing, this must always be done in pairs. To do this, open the appliance and
block the blade disc with a screwdriver. Remove the screws with an Allen key. Install the new blades
following the above steps in reverse.

7.2 STORAGE
When storing the machine for long periods, treat the blades with a suitable oil to protect against
corrosion.
Make sure that the appliance has been carefully cleaned before storing it in a clean, dry place out
