Flashing light 3x
Device protection is active.
during downtime
Device protection has been activated to
prevent the battery from consuming a
large amount of power and to protect the
device against damage.
– If the battery status is low, charge the battery (6) or re-
place the weak battery with a fully charged battery.
Fully automatic spindle lock (Auto-Lock)
The drill spindle, and therefore the tool holder (1), are
locked when the on/off switch (9) is not pressed.
This enables screws to be screwed in even when the battery
(6) is empty and allows the power tool to be used as a
screwdriver.
Practical advice
Tips
Before screwing larger, longer screws into hard materials, it
is advisable to pre-drill a pilot hole with the core diameter of
the thread to approx. 2/3 of the screw length.
After working at a low speed for an extended period, you
should operate the power tool at the maximum speed for ap-
proximately three minutes without load to cool it down.
When drilling into metal, only use sharpened HSS drills
(HSS = high-speed steel) which are in perfect condition. The
Bosch accessory range guarantees appropriate quality.
Belt Hook (see figure D)
You can use the belt hook (13) to hang the power tool on a
belt, for example. You then have both hands free and the
power tool is always at hand.
Utility hook (see figure E)
You can use the utility hook (14) to attach the power tool to
a suitable suspension device.
