EMG
(short press)
Channel 9 and 19 are automatically selected by pressing this key. A first
press activates channel 9. A second press activates channel 19. «EMG»
appears on the display when a priority channel is active. A new press returns
to the previous channel and «EMG» disappears.
DW
(long press)
A longer press (1s) allows to activate the Dual Watch function. This function
allows to survey between channel 9 or 19 and the selected channel. A first
long press activates the DW function between channel 9 and the busy
channel. A new long press activates the function between channel 19 and
the busy channel. «DW» is displayed. The number of the selected channel
and channel 9 or 19 appear alternately on the display. The «EMG» icon is
also displayed at the same time as channel 9 or 19. The selected channel
can be modified during the dual watch. The function can also be disabled
by pushing the PTT (12) switch, the EMG (6) key or running the SCAN function.
PRESIDENT CHANNELS
Your transceiver is equipped with the PRESIDENT Channels feature, which
includes five pre-configured communication channels (P1 to P5). These
channels are available after the 40 standard channels, simplifying exchanges
within small groups by providing easy and immediate access. The PRESIDENT
Channels enable targeted communication with group members. To use
them, simply select the desired channel after exploring the 40 standard
channels and invite group members to join.

7) SCAN ~ SKIP/SWR ~ M3
SCAN
(short press)
Press the SCAN button (7) briefly to activate the function (see § KEY BEEP on page
34). 'SCN' appears in the display when SCAN is active. Scanning stops as soon
as a channel is active. In SCANNING mode, press the s/t CH button (4) or press
the UP/DN keys (19) on the microphone to change the channel scan direction.
Press the PTT key (12) to exit the SCAN function. 'SCN' disappears from the
display. See § SCAN MEM page
SKIP
(long press only when the SCAN function is activated)
This function allows you to ignore a channel found by the SCAN function.
When the scan stops on an unwanted channel, hold down the SCAN
button (7) for 1 second to save this channel in the SCAN SKIP memo-
ry. A beep will be heard, and the channel will no longer be scanned.
'SCN' appears on the display when the channel is ignored.

SWR
This function allows you to measure the SWR (Standing Wave Ratio) by beeping
as you adjust the antenna.
SWR ADJUSTMENT
1- Switch on your device
2- Press the F button and then the SCAN button to start the SWR adjustment.
The transceiver automatically switches to TX mode without pressing
the PTT key and calibration begins. The maximum calibration time is 5
minutes.
3- Adjust the antenna.
4- The beep* is continuous when the SWR value is equal to 1.0.
The space between the beeps increases progressively as the SWR value
moves away from 1.0. The display shows the SWR value. (For example 2.5.)
5- Press the F button (5) to exit the mode.
*The volume of the beep can be adjusted using the VOL button (1). Check
that the volume is set to a suitable level.
