SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING!
Read all operating and safety instructions
carefully before use and save for future
use. Failure to follow all the instructions
and safety instructions can result in a risk
of electric shock, personal injury and/or
material damage.
•
The blade on the product is very sharp
and can eject objects. Keep your hands
and feet away from moving parts – risk of
serious personal injury and/or death.
•
Familiarise yourself with the controls on
the product and how to use them.
•
The product is not intended to be used,
cleaned or maintained, by persons
(children or adults) with any form of
functional disorders, or by persons who do
not have sufficient experience or
knowledge on how to use it, unless they
have received instructions concerning the
use of the product from someone who is
responsible for their safety. There may be
local regulations for the minimum age of
persons allowed to use the product.
•
Keep children under supervision to make
sure they do not play with the product.
•
Stay alert. Remember to use all necessary
safety precautions and common sense
when working with the product. Never use
the product if you are tired or under the
influence of drugs, alcohol or medication.
A moment of inattention or carelessness
can result in serious personal injury.
•
Wear long trousers, long sleeves and
sturdy, non-slip shoes. Do not wear
loose-fitting clothing, ties, scarves, etc.,
that can get caught in moving parts.
•
Wear safety glasses.
•
Make sure you always have a good
footing. Always maintain a firm footing
and good balance. Never run with the
product.
•
Mow across slopes, never up and down.
Be very careful when changing direction
on slopes.
•
Do not mow too close to streams/ditches
or steel slopes – risk of losing control.
WORK AREA
•
Keep onlookers, especially children, and
also pets at a safe distance of at least
15 metres from the work area.
•
There is a risk of serious personal injury if
the blades on the product strike an object.
Carefully inspect the area where the
product is to be used and remove any
stones, wires, bones or other foreign
objects. Wires, string etc. can become
entangled in the mower deck.
•
Only use the product in daylight, or in
good artificial lighting.
•
Do not use the product in an explosive
environment, e.g. near flammable liquids,
gas or dust. The product produces sparks,
which can ignite dust and fumes.
•
Do not use the product in the rain,
or when the grass is wet.
•
Do not use the product when there is a
risk of lightning.
•
The user is responsible for any accidents
or risks to other persons or property.
•
Keep children and pets away from the
work area. Switch off the product
immediately if children or pets approach
the work area.
•
Pay special attention when your view is
blocked, for example at the corners of
buildings, or near bushes and trees.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
•
The plug must match the power point.
Never modify the plug in any way. Never
use an adapter with earthed products.
Unmodified plugs and matching outlets
reduce the risk of electric shock.
