According to need, the machine can be operated
either with a de-thatching roller [1] or an aerated
roller [2].
► P. 6, item 9
– Turn the machine over, and prevent it from tip-
ping.
– Open the bearing seat (27).
– Lift up the working roller (26) and remove it to the
side.
– Clean bearing surfaces if necessary.
– Push the hexagon section of the working roll into
the mount (28) as illustrated.
– Insert the working roller into the bearing seat (27).
– Close the bearing seat (27) and engage securely.
– Stand the machine on its wheels.
– Carry out a test run. If there are unusual noises,
switch the machine off immediately and check
that the roller was installed correctly.
Adjusting the working depth
Depending on the wear on the working roller, the set-
ting can be modified (working depths: ► Technical
data – p. 33).

– Switch the machine off.
– Raise the machine at the front.
– Pull the lever (6) to the side.
– Set the depth of the working roller to the value you
require, and let the lever slot back into place.
– Lower the machine again.
Attaching the cuttings bag
► P. 6, item 10
– Lift the protective flap (4) and hold.
– Slot the cuttings bag (7) into place.
– Ensure that the bag has slotted into place
securely.
Turning on the tool
Note: The product cannot be switched on
without the circuit breaker.

– Insert the circuit breaker (9) (pay attention to the
fit)
– Press and hold down the switch lock (10).
– Pull the switch on lever (1) and hold.
– Release the switch lock.
• The unit will switch itself on with approximately
2 seconds delay.
Switching-off the device
– Release the switch on lever.
– Disconnect the circuit breaker.
De-thatching/aerating
DANGER! Danger of injury! Before start-
ing work, always check the ground and
remove all objects which could be thrown by
the machine.
DANGER! Danger of injury! Never release
the steering bar while working.
Note: The shorter the lawn has been cut,
the better it can be de-thatched/aerated.
– Position the machine on a level lawn surface.
– Press the operating safety lock (10) and hold
down.
– Pull and keep hold of the operating lever (1).
– Release the operating safety lock.
– Wait until the motor has reached its maximum
speed.
– Guide the machine at an even slow speed (walk-
ing pace) in a straight line wherever possible.
Important information
DANGER! Danger of injury! Wherever
possible, work across the slope.
Never start the machine on a solid surface.
If the working roller becomes blocked by a
solid object, release the start-up lever imme-
diately.
If a foreign body was picked up, check the
machine and have it repaired if necessary.
• For an improved result, and to lengthen the
machine's working life, the lawn should be cut as
short as possible.
• Staying for too long in one place can damage the
lawn surface.
Cleaning and maintenance
DANGER! Risk of injury! Carry out the
maintenance work described here in person.
Improper maintenance work can damage
the device and lead to injuries.
DANGER! Risk of injury! Before carrying
out any maintenance or cleaning work, the
machine must be disconnected from the
power and secured to prevent accidental
switch on.
WARNING! Danger of injury! The working
roller runs on!
– Never turn the machine over, or lift or
carry it when the motor is running.
– Prior to any maintenance and/or clean-
ing, wait until the machine has come to a
stop.
