Adjusting the pre-attenuation
Without pre-attenuation (0 dB) the microphone has a
maximum SPL of 134 dB. At higher SPL pre-attenuation of
10 dB can be adjusted with the knurled knob at the rear of the
microphone (indicating -10 dB).

Adjusting the high-pass filter
The microphone is equipped on the rear (left side) with
a two stage high-pass filter switch, which attenuates the
low-frequency response at either 80 Hz or 160 Hz by 8 dB per
ocatve.

Maintenance
For cleaning metal surfaces, use a soft, damp cloth using
only gentle cleansing agents (such as washing-up liquid). Take
care not to allow any water drops into the microphone and do
not use any solvent cleaners.
Clean the popscreen PS 740 and the windscreen WS 740 in clear
water. All parts should be completely dry before they are used
again.
