Getting started...
Proper use
This product is intended for pumping oil and other flu-
ids. Drinking water, foods and explosive or aggres-
sive materials as well as substances that are detri-
mental to health must not be pumped.
The product is not intended for commercial use.
The product must be operated according to the spec-
ifications in the instructions for use.
Any improper use or any activities on the product not
described in these instructions for use are considered
inadmissible misuse and outside of the manufac-
turer's legal liability.
What do the symbols mean?
In the instructions for use
Danger and information signs are clearly marked in
the instructions for use. The following symbols are
used:
CAREFUL! Type and source of danger!
This danger sign warns of damage to the
device, the environment or damage to prop-
erty.
Note: This symbol identifies information that
is provided to improve understanding of the
processes.
For your safety
General safety instructions
• For safe handling of the product, the user must
have read and understood the instructions for use
before using it for the first time.
• Observe all safety instructions! If you do not
observe the safety instructions you will endanger
yourself and others.
• Keep all instructions for use and safety instruc-
tions for future reference.
• Keep the product away from children. Store the
product in a place where it is safe from children
and unauthorized persons.
• Conversions, unauthorized modifications and the
use of non-approved parts are prohibited.
For handling combustible materials
Combustible materials are flammable and explo-
sive. Minimise the risk of explosion and fire:
• Before pumping, switch off the motor and let it
cool down.

• Smoking and naked flames are prohibited while

handling combustible materials.
• Only store and mix combustible materials in
approved and marked canisters.
• Seal combustible material canisters before stor-
ing. Combustible materials evaporate even at
room temperature and can collect on the floor in
closed rooms (risk of explosion).
Combustible materials are toxic! They contain
substances that are highly toxic and can cause
long-term health damage. Heed the precautions
to stop these substances from being absorbed
into your body:
• Only top up outdoors or decant combustible mate-
rials in well-ventilated rooms.
• Do not inhale vapours from combustible materi-
als.
• Avoid skin and eye contact. In case of accidental
contact, rinse thoroughly with water. In case of
contact with the eyes, seek immediate medical
assistance.
• Wear gloves when decanting fuel.
• Carefully remove overflowing combustible materi-
als without delay.
• If combustible materials get on your clothing,
change your clothing right away. Clean the gar-
ment before wearing it again.
• Store combustible materials out of the reach of
children.
• Do not suck up combustible materials with your
mouth using the suction tube.
• Do not eat or drink when working with combus-
tible materials.
If used improperly, combustible materials endan-
ger the environment:
• Decant combustible materials carefully. Combus-
tible materials must not run into the soil or into the
sewer system.
• Combustible material residues must be disposed
of properly. Never dispose of them with household
waste.
• Combustible materials have a limited shelf-life.
Only buy quantities that will be used within a few
months.
Contaminated fluids damage the product
• Pumped fluids must not be contaminated.
