– Attach the pull starter (9) to the pull starter
holder (17) as illustrated.
Mounting the collection box

– Insert the carry handle (27) into the col-
lection basket upper (28) until it engages.

– Attach the collection bag (29) to the col-
lection basket upper (28).
– Press the rubber lip as far as possible into
the guide!
Using for the first time
Filling with fuel
DANGER! Risk of injury! Petrol is
highly inflammable!
Before refuelling, switch off the motor
and let it cool down.
Closely observe all safety information
for handling fuel.
NOTICE! Risk of product damage!
The product is supplied without motor
oil.
Make sure it is filled with motor oil
before using for the first time.
Note: Use only appropriate fuel

– Open and remove the tank cover (11).
– Carefully top up the fuel (tank contents:
► Technical data – p. 53). Do not spill!
– Re-tighten the tank cover (11) by hand.
Filling with motor oil

– Unscrew and remove the motor oil filling
plug (10).
– Carefully top up the motor oil (tank con-
tents: ► Technical data – p. 53). Do not
spill!

– Read-off the oil level on the dip stick on
the underside of the motor oil filling plug.
– The oil level must lie between [A] and [B].
– Re-tighten the motor oil filling plug (10) by
hand.

– Lift the protective flap (4) and hold.
– Hook in the collection box (8).
– Make that the collection box is securely
engaged.
Adjusting the cutting height

– The cutting height can be set to 7 different
heights (Cutting heights: ► Maintenance
and storage – p. 48).
– Pull the lever (7) to the side.
– Set the cutting height to the value you
require, and let the lever slot back into
place.
Mounting the ejection opening
Note: When using the ejection open-
ing, the mulching wedge must be
mounted; the collection container is
not required.
Cut material is distributed on the
grass.

– Press the unlocking button (40).
– Lift the flap (31).
– Hook on the ejection opening (6).
Mounting the mulch wedge
Note: Mulching is the use of cut grass
as a natural compost. When mulch-
mowing, the grass is cut, finely
chopped and spread across the grass
in one operation.

– Push the mulch wedge (32) into the open-
ing of the machine until it engages.
– Lower the safety flap (4).
