Before commissioning
Unpacking
1. Remove the telescoping hedge trimmer and every-
thing else from the packaging.
2. If any parts are damaged or missing, do not operate this
product until the parts are replaced. Failure to heed this
warning could result in serious personal injury.

Remove transport protection
Before starting with the installation as described in the
operating instructions, please carry out the following steps:
1. Pull the inner telescopic tube approx. 5 cm out of the
outer sleeve.
2. Then remove the rubber stopper. This is only required
as transport protection for the cable.

Assembly
There are three lugs inside the tube sleeve (A) on the
cutter head which must engage in the recesses in the
hexagonal tube. Place the device on a level surface as
shown in the figure below. The side of the hexagonal tube
in which there is only one recess must face upwards (B).
1. Slide the cutter head onto the tube in this position (to do so,
screw sleeve 14 must be loosened by turning anticlockwise
( )). The lugs must engage audibly in the recesses.
2. Tighten screw sleeve 14 by turning it clockwise ( ) to

Operation pole hedge trimmer
Pivoting the Power Head
The Pole Trimmer is equipped with a power head that
pivots. The power head has a spring-loaded button that
allows it to be locked into several different positions
within its 120-degree rotation. Before connecting the Pole
Trimmer to the electrical supply, make sure the power
head is locked into position. Do this by trying to rotate the
power head in either direction. The power head should
be locked in position and should not rotate. To pivot the
power head, follow the instructions below.
1. Push the round button (3) located on the side of the
