6.0 Flat Roof Installation
This Power Flue Fan may be installed on to flat roofs, a structure must be built to hold the fan unit
vertical, with a minimum clearance to the roof surface of 300mm, this corresponds to a flue centre of
416mm above the roof surface. The figure below shows these dimensions and a suggested support
structure. These dimensions are minimum dimensions and may be increased to suit installation.
It may be necessary to add a non combustible shield on the roof surface, if the roof surface is a
bituminous or other combustible material that may be damaged by hot gasses.
The flue system and roof structure must be installed to conform with the Rules in force at the time of
installation covering the relevant aspects of Building control, Gas and Electrical works, refer to the
appliance instructions for further information.
