– never touch the fan with wet or damp
hands.
– Never touch the fan when barefoot.
• Make sure that the power supply corre-
sponds with the connection specifications
of the device before it is connected.
• The device may only be used within the
specified limitations for voltage and
power (see type plate).
• When not in use, the device must always
be fully disconnected from the electrical
network using an all-pole switch.
• Disconnect device from power supply
before and during transportation
Maintenance
• Before any work or setting, make sure
that the device is completely discon-
nected from power supply by all-pole
switch.
• Only maintenance and troubleshooting
described here may be carried out. Any
other work must be carried out by quali-
fied specialist.
Device-specific safety instructions
• Switch on and operate device only in
completely assembled state.
• The product may not be operated out-
doors.
• Never put objects through the ventilation
grate into the device.
• Never put the device in water or other liq-
uids.
• The fan is rated for operation at ambient
temperatures ranging from +1 °C to +40
°C.
• WARNING! Do not operate the fan out-
side the specified temperature range
• The transferred air must be clean, i.e. it
must not contain any fat or rust particles,
chemical or corrosive agents, explosive
or flammable mixtures.
• Do not block air inlet and outlet openings.
For devices that will be installed in
exhaust pipes, check that exhaust pipe is
not blocked.
• Danger to life if the device is used simul-
taneously with the compartment air
dependant fireplace (g. g. Gas-, oil-,
wood- or coal heater)! Poisonous com-
bustion gases from chimney or fireplace
ventilation shaft can be sucked again in
the compartment air due to suction effect!
Moreover, the combustion in the fireplace
is adversely affected (no sufficient air
supply for combustion). Only sufficient air
supply prevents this negative difference
of air pressure.
• The underpressure (negative difference
of pressure) of the air must not exceed 4
-5
Pa (4 × 10
bar).
• All official regulations must be strictly fol-
lowed.
• The exhaust air must pass neither into
smoke or exhaust gas stack that is in
operation, nor into ventilation shaft that is
used to ventilate installation rooms with
fireplaces.
• If the exhaust air should be passed in idle
smoke or exhaust gas stack than all offi-
cial regulations must be followed.
