3. Weld the ferrule into the process pipeline.

For optimal self-cleaning properties, install the refractometer in a 10 °
downward angle.
4. Install the O-ring and tighten the clamp bolts to 44 Nm with a 17‑mm wrench. Make sure
the cable glands on the refractometer are in a downward position.
5. Make sure the refractometer is firmly in place and that there is no excessive vibration.
Support the piping if needed.
