PRACTICAL TIPS FOR COOKING
Here are some important tips on how to use your new cooktop and cookware in an energy-
efficient and energy-saving way:
-
Remember to buy utensils suitable for use with induction.
-
Induction coils can detect diameters slightly smaller than those marked on the plate.
However, depending on the quality of the utensil, there is a minimum detection diameter.
Smaller utensils will not be detected by your plate. Below you will find the minimum
detection diameters:
o For the large 280 mm area, the minimum diameter is 110 mm.
o For the 180 mm area, the minimum diameter is 110 mm.
o For the 145 mm area, the minimum diameter is 90 mm.
-
When buying pots or pans, note that the top diameter of the pan is often indicated. The
upper diameter is usually larger than the lower diameter.
-
Pressure cookers in particular save time and energy thanks to the closed cooking chamber
and overpressure. The short cooking time preserves the vitamins.
-
Always make sure that there is enough liquid in the pressure cooker, as the hotplate and
the cooker can be damaged by overheating when the cooker is empty.
-
If possible, always close pots with a suitable lid.
-
The correct pot should be used for each quantity of food. A large pot that is barely full
requires a lot of energy.
