The voice prompt will announce the channel you are on, every time you rotate the
knob. If you browse among the digital channels, the voice prompt will announce
"Encryption" plus the channel number.
Emission and reception
Press the PTT side key to transmit. The red LED lights up. Release the PTT key to
receive. When the radio receives, the green LED lights up. In the case of reception
on digital channels, the yellow LED lights up.
Only users who have the radio set to the same channel and frequency will hear
you when you transmit.
Do not hold down the PTT key for too long. The transmission requires a lot of
energy. Long transmissions could drain your battery. To limit the transmission
time, the radio is equipped with the TOT (Timeout Timer) function, which limits
the duration of the transmission to 120 seconds.
For secure communications, set CTCSS/DCS codes.
