TROUBLESHOOTING – ROBOT VACUUM CLEANER NOT
CONNECTING TO WI-FI
Find your 2.4 GHz
Wi-Fi network
Your Wi-Fi network
name does not
indicate whether it
is 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz
The Venga! app
cannot connect
with the Wi-Fi net-
work and the robot
vacuum cleaner
How to detect
where the connec-
tivity issue comes
from
Why does the Ven-
ga! app need an
email address and
a password?
Why is the Venga!
app asking for my
location?
• Select the Wi-Fi network name that indicates it is a 2.4 GHz network.
This is typically indicated by a 2, 2.4, or 2G at the end of the name.
• If you have a mixed 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi network, make sure your smart-
phone is connected to the 2.4 GHz frequency while setting up the
Venga! app.
Open your router settings and look for a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network that
your smartphone can connect to.
• Contact your internet service provider, and ask for help connecting
your smartphone to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network to finish the setup of your
robot vacuum cleaner.
• The Wi-Fi network and password are case sensitive. Make sure the
UPPERCASE/lowercase letters are filled in correctly.
• Ensure your smartphone is connected to the same 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi
network that you are trying to connect your robot vacuum cleaner
to.
• Ensure your smartphone and the robot vacuum cleaner are within
the Wi-Fi signal range of your Wi-Fi router.
Make sure that the Wi-Fi indicator light on your robot vacuum clean-
er is blinking before connecting it to the app.
• Connect the robot vacuum cleaner to another 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi net-
work. If this works, then your home network is likely the source of the
problem.
• Connect another phone to the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. If successful,
the issue likely comes from your phone.
You must register an email address and a password so that you have
a secure way to access your robot vacuum cleaner. Otherwise, any-
one might be able to connect to it and control it.
Using the location of your smartphone is one of the main ways to
enjoy the benefits of a connected home. For example, the Venga!
app can start a cleaning cycle based on the local weather, which
requires your location.
If you do not want to use this service, simply deny the app access
to your location during setup. Additionally, iOS and Android devices
offer the ability to turn location tracking on or off via their Settings
menus
