6. CLEANING CARPETS AND
RUGS
WARNING: Before steam treating surfaces
(wood or laminate floors, carpets, rugs,
leather
and
fabrics
especially
those
treated), consult the surface manufacturer's
or the supplier/installer's instructions and
always perform a test on a section that
is out of view or on a sample. Allow the
steamed surface to dry to ensure that there
is no deterioration, change of colour or
deformation and that the surface stands up
to the temperature of the steam.
Ensure that the instructions in Chapters 1 and
2 have been followed.
6.1
Insert the brush with the cloth attached
into the special frame so that it can slide on
the surface (13).
6.2 Unlock the appliance brush by tilting it
backward and using your foot.
6.3 Select the program type (7). For this type
of surface, we recommend the medium level
(MED). The appliance will start dispensing
steam (the tank will light up to indicate that
the appliance is dispensing steam). It is then
possible to start cleaning by moving the mop
back and forth. To stop dispensing steam,
press the central Steam Set button several
times on the control panel (7) until the light
turns on
or hold it down for more than
2 seconds.
During cleaning, it is possible to insert the
power cable into the upper hook to avoid it
getting in the way (11).
6.4 To remove the frame, just rest a foot on
the relative symbol
mop upwards.
