Brushless Technology
Generally the rotation of an electric motor is generated with the use of sliding carbon brushes, which
over time become worn out, consume power and create heat. Brushless electric motors generate their
rotation using electronic circuits, which are more reliable and stable. They are more efficient, have
higher torque values at lower battery currents, last up to 5 times longer without the need for
maintenance, run cooler and quieter and consume less battery power.
Fitting the Outboard
Attach the outboard to the stern of the boat via the mounting bracket. Make sure to tighten both
mounting bolts securely (Fig. A). To adjust the angle of the motor, hold the motor head with one hand
and depress the adjustment lever with your other hand. Once the desired angle has been reached
release the lever and check the mechanism engages securely (Fig. B)
Caution: When adjusting the tilt angle of the motor, NEVER put your hands between the shaft
and the hull of the boat. This may cause injury. When mounting or detaching the motor, make
sure that the battery is disconnected.

Depth Adjustment
The depth of the motor can be adjusted up and down by simply loosening the depth collar tension
knob (Fig. C) located on the column, set the motor to the desired depth then re-tighten the tension
knob securely.
Steering Tension Adjustment
To adjust the steering resistance of your motor, simply tighten or loosen the tension knob on the side
of the mounting bracket (Fig. D)
Assembling the Propeller
To assemble the propeller, place the propeller onto the bolt making sure to align the pin with the groove
in the propeller (Fig. E). Next place the washer onto the bolt (Fig. F) and then screw on the prop nut by
hand (Fig. G). Tighten the nut using an adjustable wrench or socket whilst holding the propeller with
your hand (Fig. H).
