WARNING: DO NOT use the inverter near flammable materials or objects that can be affected by
heat. The inverter may become very hot during extended periods of full power use.
WARNING: People with heart pacemakers should consult their physician before use. Strong
electromagnetic fields in close proximity to a heart pacemaker could cause pacemaker interference
or pacemaker failure.
a) DO NOT use the inverter in a damp environment, where the air has high moisture content
or any position where the inverter could accidentally come into contact with water. This
may prevent use in a marine environment, especially for smaller vessels.
b) When used in a stationary location the inverter must be fully protected from the weather
and kept under cover.
c) Allow sufficient space around the inverter for cooling. DO NOT place on carpets or rugs as
these can block vents on the bottom of the inverter and are a fire hazard.
d) Use in cool to moderate ambient temperatures only. DO NOT place on top or near a heating
vent.
e) ALWAYS confirm devices are suitable for use with moderated sine wave current. DO NOT
attempt to power devices that require pure sine wave current.
f) DO NOT use on any vehicles with power supplies other than 12V. Some vehicles use 24V or
6V systems.
Note: If you wish to have the inverter turned on and off with the vehicle's ignition, use a fused
relay circuit so that a low current circuit can turn on and off a high current connection that is directly
connected to the battery.

Intended Use
Converts 12V DC into 230V AC, to supply mains voltage devices from 12V vehicle batteries. Suitable
for use in transit or in stationary applications.
WARNING: This inverter is only suitable for 12V batteries and vehicle systems.
NOT INTENDED FOR COMMERCIAL USE. The product must ONLY be used for its intended purpose.
Any use other than those mentioned in this manual will be considered a case of misuse. The
operator, and not the manufacturer, shall be liable for any damage or injury resulting from such
cases of misuse. The manufacturer shall not be liable for any modifications made to the tool, nor for
any damage resulting from such modifications.
Unpacking Your Product
• Carefully unpack and inspect your product. Fully familiarise yourself with all its features and
functions.
• Ensure all parts of the product are present and in good condition.
• If any parts are missing or damaged, have such parts replaced before attempting to use
this product.
Before Use
Important considerations
• Most 12V batteries including lead-acid, gel and AGM should not be discharged below 50% of
their capacity. Fully discharging these batteries may lead to permanent battery damage.
• Be aware that some devices can draw a considerable amount of power and drain a vehicle battery
in a short space of time. It may be necessary to run the motor of the vehicle to ensure that the
battery is not discharged to the point of being unable to start the motor.
• The inverter's case and AC mains socket earth connection are connected so that the mounting
screws and any unpainted area of the inverter body will make an earth connection if in contact
with a metal surface. This will mean that in the event of a fault, such metal surfaces may
become live.
Installing the inverter in a vehicle
IMPORTANT: The earth pin connections of the 230V Universal Mains Sockets (5) are wired to the
inverter's external case. Ensure the inverter is kept electrically isolated from the vehicle to prevent
mains leakage to the vehicle body. This inverter does not require earthing to the chassis.
• Always read the vehicle's manual in combination with these instructions when installing an
inverter.
Note: When installing in a boat, pay special attention to the recommended earthing instructions for
the vessel. Additional components may be required.
• Always mount the inverter in a level and horizontal position so that the internal fans extract the
heat with maximum efficiency.
• For the inverter to function safely and efficiently it is important that the Vents and Fan Outlets
(6, 7) are kept clear:
• Do not obstruct Vents or Fan Outlets
• Keep Vents and Fan Outlets clean
• Leave at least 25mm of clear space around the inverter
• Do not place anything on top of the inverter
• Ensure that the inverter is kept clean. Pay particular attention to the ventilation components as
above, and the mains socket.
• Do not use the inverter in a dirty or dusty environment.
• The inverter should be located as close as possible to the battery but not placed in the engine
bay or battery compartment.
WARNING: Lead-acid batteries produce small amounts of explosive gases in normal use and
larger amounts during charging. The inverter is not suitable for use in explosive environments.
Do not install the inverter close to or in a small enclosed area with a lead-acid battery. Do not charge
batteries near the inverter.
• Ensure the position of the inverter allows easy access to the ON/OFF Switch (3)
• Always position the inverter away from direct sunlight and other heat sources.
• Only use the inverter within the recommended ambient air temperature range (see
'Specification').
Connecting to a 12V car cigarette lighter socket
1. Unscrew the Terminal Caps (15) from the 12V Terminals (8).
2. Remove the Lock Washers (13).
3. Put the ring terminals at the end of the 12V Cigarette Lighter Plug Cable (11) over the pins of the
12V Terminals. Ensure the red ring terminal goes to the red Positive Terminal (14) and the black
ring terminal goes to the black Negative/Earth Terminal (16).
4. Replace the Lock Washers.
5. Refit Terminal Caps.
Note: Car cigarette lighter sockets have limited current output. In the event a device fails to operate,
it is possible direct connection to the battery may allow it to function due to higher start-up current
being available.
