OPERATION
TESTING THE PUMP
When the pump is installed in a basin with a sealed cover, you cannot observe the operation of the float switch.
The cover usually will have a spare hole that is blocked with a rubber plug. Remove this plug to observe the switch
operation during testing.
1. Check the pump label for proper voltage required.
2. Be sure the check valve in the discharge line is open.
3. Run water into the basin until the pump starts.
4. Allow the pump to operate through several on/off cycles.
MAINTENANCE
1. Maintain the device with care. A device in good condition is efficient, easier to control and will have
fewer problems.
2. Inspect the device components periodically. Repair or replace damaged or worn components.
3. Inspect the device fittings, alignment and hoses and power supply cord periodically. Have damaged or
worn components repaired or replaced by an authorized technician.
a. Before removing the pump from the basin for service, always disconnect the electrical power source to
the pump and the control switch. Do not lift the pump by the power cord.
4. Cycle the pump at least once every month to be sure that the system is working properly.

device. Replace damaged parts immediately.
WARNING! Only qualified service personnel should repair the device. An improperly repaired device may
present a hazard to the user and/or others.

1. Rinse the external casing with clean water. Remove stubborn contamination with a brush and detergent.
2. Clean the suction area by accessing the insides of the casing. Remove fibres that are wound around the
rotor shaft by opening the pressure connection. Remove stubborn contamination with a brush
and detergent
.
3. Submerge the pump in a container with clean water and switch on for a short time to rinse the inside of
the pump.
a. Before using the pump again, first soak it so that any possible dirt residues will not block the openings
or suction area.

dry place. Do not store the pump in direct sunlight.
