3 EMERGENCY ACTIONS

3.1 AUTHORIZED AND INSTRUCTED PEOPLE INTERVENTION

Authorized and instructed people should be called when:
• The system stops (ex. During power cut, breakdown or natural events) with people inside car.
• The responsible person has been notified of a fault which stops the lift from working
• Whenever there is the need to get into the machine-room, to perform the emergency operation or to use
the emergency key (unlocking triangle)

3.2 FIRST ASSISTANCE

If passengers are trapped inside the car, immediately contact the Lift Maintenance Company.
• The rescuer performs the emergency operation (par. (par. 3.2.2 or 3.2.3) to level the car to the floor.
• Car doors are opened by the emergency key (unlocking triangle) (par. 3.2.4).
WARNING
These operations shouldn't be done by unauthorized and instructed people. Only expert and qualified
people should do it.
IMPORTANT
Tell the passengers inside the car to not worry as the lift has got all the necessary safety devices.

3.2.1 STOP CIRCUMSTANCES OF THE CAR

The stop circumstances of the car are the following:
F) Car stopped over the lower floor with FM on power
G) Car stopped over the lower floor with FM off power
H) Car stopped under the lower floor with FM on power
I) Car stopped under the lower floor with FM off power
WARNING
In MRL lifts, you can find all you need to perform the emergency operation, inside a box, placed at
the lower floor, in the upright of the landing door or in a walled box placed next to the same door.
