Or use a screw connection on the an-
gle adapter with quick-connect connec-
tor (9), or on the reducer (10).
Outlet with a 1½"-internal thread on
the pump for connection of the quick-
connect adapter (8) or for direct con-
nection of a hose with a 1½"-external
thread;
Outlet with 1½"-external thread at the
bracket adapter (9) for connection of
the reducer (10) or a 1½"-screw con-
nection;
Outlet on reducer (10) for connection
of a 1¼"- or 1½"-hose as a compres-
sion joint (fixing with a hose clamp);
Outlet with 1"-external thread at the re-
ducer (10) for connection of a 1"-screw
connection;
Outlet with 1"-thread at the reducer
(10) for connection of a 1"-hose as
clamp connection (fixing with a hose
clamp).
Note that the particle size may be
max. 18 mm if the reducer
(Outlet with 1") is used, otherwise
the reducer and hose can become
blocked.
Adjustment of the float
switch
The float switch (3) is adjusted so that it
can be started up immediately.
In the case of stationary installation,
check regularly (no less then once
every three months) that the float
switch (3) is working.
The switch-on/switch-off point of the float
switch (3) can be set in multiple incre-
ments:
1. Press the lever (13) on the float switch
height adjustment (2) together and
move it to the desired position.
2. Release the lever (13). The float switch
height adjustment (2) locks into place.
Check the float switch (3).
- It must be positioned so that it
can lift and lower freely. The
switching point heights "On"
and "Off" must be easy to
reach.
Check this by placing the pump
into a vessel filled with water
and lift the float switch (3) care-
fully by hand and then lower it
again. In this case, you can see
whether the pump switches on
and off.
- Also ensure that the separation
distance between the float switch
(3) head and the float switch
height adjustment (2) is not too
small. In the case of a separa-
tion distance which is too small,
trouble-free functioning cannot
be guaranteed.
- During the adjustment of the float
switch (3), ensure that the float
switch does not contact the floor
before the pump switches off.
The pump run dry if too long a float
switch cable (
12) is chosen,
particularly if the float switch height
adjustment (2) is not installed (see
„Initial Operation").
