3.4. Maintenance
3.4.1 Precautionary maintenance
Correct and regular maintenance guarantees the durability of the product.
Creating a maintenance plan, including regular reviews and establishing a responsible
person to carry them out, is recommended.
The person in charge must adhere to the following requirements:
Possess technical knowledge related to the product and the maintenance procedures
described in these instructions.
To have the support of qualified, trained and knowledgeable staff who are familiar with the
operation of the product.
Use original or manufacturer-approved components, spare parts and accessories.
In accordance with the instructions of EU Regulation 2017/45 which establishes the
obligation of the purchaser to provide on request the above mentioned after-sales care
record for the purpose of product traceability, records of all product maintenance operations
shall be kept.
Check for proper operation before use. Prior to service, the following should be checked:
Functionality.
Fastenings and hardware.
Parts that move, such as wheels, belts and mattresses.
Sensitivity of springs.
If the device does not appear to be suitable for correct and safe use, it should be taken out of
service until the device is repaired or restored to full working order.
Do not modify the structure of the device for any reason, as this may cause serious harm to
patients and/or operators.
Lubrication intervals of moving parts:
1 – 30 services per month: every 3 months.
30 – 50 services per month: every 2 months.
More than 150 services per month: every month.
