NOTE
Central ventilation units AIR1 RH
Temp. setpoint for
recirculation (supply air /
extract air / room))
XX.X °C
SAF offset for
frequency regulation
Recirculation: XX.X m³/h
The recirculation mode can be set as follows:
• Using the recirculation timer
• Using the external switch contact DI8
If the VOD timer and recirculation timer are active at the same time and no air quality sensors reach the sensor limits
(boost ventilation), the unit will switch to recirculation mode.
If a connected sensor reaches the sensor limit, the recirculation mode will stop and the unit will run in sensor-controlled
operation (VOD).
If the sensor signal reaches the sensor limit, the unit will switch back to recirculation mode.
The recirculation mode will not work if the reduced, normal or boost timers are running at the same time, since it has
a lower priority.
415 Bypass
The bypass function contains 3 different scenarios:
– Night cooling
– Free cooling / Free heating
– Heat recovery not required
Night cooling
The bypass function can also be used for so-called "night cooling" in the summer months. This function takes advanta-
ge of cool outside temperatures at night to cool the room during the night. The night cooling effect is heavily dependent
on the temperature differences between the intake air/supply and room air, the volume flow and the required cooling
loads.
Night cooling never replaces air conditioning!
Start conditions:
Free night cooling is only activated if all of the following start conditions are met.
– The system has not been deactivated for less than 4 days.
– The outside temperature exceeded the set limit value (e.g. 22 °C) during the last operation.
– It is a certain time of day. E.g. 1 am to 6 am (adjustable).
– One of the following ventilation levels is active: Manual minimal, Manual off (standby) or Timer minimal.
– A timer function will be active in the next 24 hours.
Stop conditions:
– The outside temperature is higher than the set start value (e.g. 18 °C) or lower than the set minimum value (e.g. 10°C).
– The room temperature is lower than the set stop value (e.g. 18 °C).
– A ventilation stage other than those listed above is active.
– It is not the set time of day.
The start and stop conditions must be set in the commissioning assistant.
Free cooling / Free heating
This function stops the rotary heat exchanger under the conditions described below. This uses the intake air tempera-
ture for heating or cooling.
1. If the unit has heating requirements:
Case 1 – If the supply air temperature < intake air temperature and the extract air temperature < intake air temperature,
then the rotary heat exchanger is stopped and thus heat recovery is stopped.
Case 2 – If the supply air temperature < intake air temperature and the extract air temperature > intake air temperature,
then the rotary heat exchanger is active and thus heat recovery is active.
2. If the unit has cooling requirements:
Case 3 – If the supply air temperature > intake air temperature and the extract air temperature > intake air temperature,
then the rotary heat exchanger is stopped and thus heat recovery is stopped.
Case 4 – If the supply air temperature > intake air temperature and the extract air temperature < intake air temperature,
then the rotary heat exchanger is active and thus heat recovery is active.
Heat recovery not required
If the supply air, extract air, intake air and exhaust air temperatures are equal, heat recovery is not required.
If the supply air temperature = intake air temperature = extract air temperature = exhaust air temperature, then the
rotary heat exchanger is stopped and thus heat recovery is stopped.
416 Overrun
The unit has an adjustable overrun function for ventilation stage selection via an external switch contact.
Thus, the ventilation unit will run for the set time after actuation of the switch contact for the respective ventilation stage.
Therefore, a push-button function is possible.
If the overrun time is set to 0,the ventilation unit will run until the corresponding switch contact is no longer actuated.
