wrench. Once you have loosened the cap, continue
to unscrew it using the wrench. The spark plug
should be replaced every 100 hours. Reinstall the
spark plug into the engine cylinder head using your
index finger and thumb. You can rotate it
counterclockwise a bit if the threads don't engage
immediately, then try again. The spark plug should
screw freely into the engine, indicating that the
threads are not crossed. After about four rotations,
the spark plug is in place; it must then be tightened
firmly using the open-ended wrench or a torque
wrench set to 20 Nm

The following maintenance operations must be
carried out by an approved repair center or a
qualified person:
> REPLACEMENT OF THE FUEL FILTER.
The fuel filter should be replaced annually or if no
other reason can be found to account for poor
engine performance.
To replace the fuel filter, unscrew the fuel tank cap
and, holding the plastic retainer between your
thumb and forefinger, thread the retainer through
the neck of the tank and detach the device from the
tank.
Then take a length of fairly stiff wire, bend a hook
at one end, and feed it into the tank. Route the wire
around the fuel line, not the breather tube, and
bring it to the opening. The filter will be visible at
the end of the fuel line. Lift it up until you can
access the ears of the spring clip that secures the
filter to the hose.
Tighten the clip using long nose pliers, remove the
filter and install the replacement filter.
If you need better access to the filter, carefully
remove the fuel hose from the fitting on the bottom
of the carburetor using long-nose pliers. Finally,
push the filter back into the tank and replace the
filler cap and its retainer.
Replacement of the fan and the grinder.
Make sure the mulcher blades are sharp and the fan
blades are not damaged or cracked.
If necessary, remove and replace them, first
removing the five screws that secure the fan cover
and carefully lifting it up to access it without
damaging the wires; if you want, you can unplug
them.
Using a socket wrench, loosen the retaining nut and
lift the mulcher blades or blower, then assemble the
replacement parts.
Tighten the retaining nut to 20Nm. Replace the
cover and tighten the five screws. Finally, replace

Storage.
If you will not be using your machine for more than
90 days, empty the fuel tank and run the engine
until it stops to remove any remaining fuel.
Thoroughly clean the entire machine and lubricate
the zipper of the vacuum bag. Check and replace if
necessary the spark plug, fuel filter, fan and grinder.
Store the machine and its components in a dry and
safe place.
Care and maintenance
In addition to the tips provided in this manual,
owners may also want to lubricate fasteners and
metal components to prevent corrosion. It is also
important to know that some items, known as
service items, will need to be replaced due to
normal wear and tear.
Removing an obstruction
Turn the tool off and wait for the motor to come to a
complete stop.
Detach the tube from the crankcase.
Use a tool (pliers) to remove any objects that are
blocking the grinding fans.
