Note:
Ensure that the CMC III PU 19" Edition is connected permanently to the mains power and
does not have a main switch for the all-pole mains power decoupling.
To avoid malfunctions, please do not disconnect the CMC III PU 19" Edition from the
power supply during the boot process.
Connect the CMC III PU 19" Edition to a power supply with TN-S or TT-network configuration. Please
note the detailed information in section 8 "Technical specifications".
Route the CMC III PU 19" Edition connection cable out of the IT rack and connect it to the mains
supply.
After connecting the CMC III PU 19" Edition to the power supply, the green power LED (fig. 5, item 7)
will be illuminated, and the CMC III PU 19" Edition will start to boot automatically.
If connected to a network, the Link and Status LEDs on the RJ 45 jack will be illuminated (fig. 5,
item 9 and 10).
After a few seconds, the multi-LED for status display will start to flash blue, indicating that booting is
in progress (fig. 5, item 8).
If installation was unsuccessful: see section 1.1.

Settings
If the CMC III PU 19" Edition cannot be incorporated into the network with these settings, the settings
can be amended via the display or the CMC III PU 19" Edition website.
6.1
Settings via the display
If the display is in standby mode: Press anykey. A menu will ap-
pear showing the power per phase.
Press the "Esc" key (fig. 5, item 1) to display the Rittal main
menu.
