Application Log In
CarDetector Mobile has three different user modes depending on the Login method selected in the Login
popup window and the connection file being used.
NOTE: See the Mobile Camera Systems and Configuring a Connection File sections in the Vigilant
Vehicle Manager 7.0 User Guide, MN008501A01 for more details on connection files.
Throughout CarDetector Mobile, a virtual keyboard is provided for typing in information if a physical keyboard
is not available. Look for the small keyboard symbol and click or tap on it to activate the virtual keyboard
where necessary.

If a connection file is not added before the first login, CarDetector Mobile will ask for one when the
appropriate Login method is selected.
2.2.1
Camera Firmware Updates
If the Update firmware window appears, wait for the latest LPR engine to be deployed to the system's
cameras.
WARNING:
Do NOT interrupt this process by turning off or cutting power to the system, disconnecting LPR
components, or shutting down the CarDetector application.
Interrupting this update may damage the LPR processor and may require returning it to the
manufacturer for replacement at your expense.
