PC Configuration
This section helps you to configure the IP address of a Windows PC or VLS Mobile Tablet to connect to a
Mobile LPR camera system.

CarDetector Mobile Windows Hardware
Requirements
The minimum system requirements for any machine that utilizes the CarDetector Mobile application can be
viewed here:
https://hardware.vaasfiles.com/
Any computer model that meets these minimum requirements can be used to run the CarDetector Mobile
application.

Configuring Windows Network Settings
Change the IP address of the Windows PC or the VLS Mobile Tablet to be on the correct subnet. This allows
the Windows PC or VLS Mobile Tablet to connect to the VLP or LPR cameras.
Procedure:
1. Open the Control Panel and click Network and Internet → Network and Sharing Center
→ Change Adapter Settings.
2. Find the adapter that represents the Ethernet port on your PC receiving input from the VLP or Camera
PoE Injector.
3. Right-click on the adapter, select Properties and select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).
4. In the General tab of Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4), select Use the following IP address,
and enter one of the following IP Addresses:

VLP Processor Configuration: IP Address 192.168.5.200, Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
●
VLS Tablet Configuration: IP Address 192.168.3.1, Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
5. Click OK on both windows to set the IP address.

Installing CarDetector Mobile
Procedure:
1. Download the appropriate software version of CarDetector Mobile for the hardware being used:

2. Unzip the files to a folder.
