CarDetector Mobile Configuration and
Use
This section helps you to use and configure the CarDetector Mobile Application for use on a laptop or VLS
Mobile Tablet with a Mobile LPR camera system.
2.1
Launching the Application for the First Time
Procedure:
1. To launch the software, click the CarDetector Mobile desktop icon.

2. Click OK on the Warning pop up window.
3. To request a CarDetector Mobile license key, visit:
vigilant-license-key-request.html
4. Enter a CarDetector Mobile license key into the License code field and click Unlock.
NOTE: License keys only need to be entered once for every key period.

5. If a connection file downloaded from Vigilant Vehicle Manager or Client Portal is available, click
Browse to select it now. If using the local user mode, select Not now.
NOTE: A connection file can be added later from the Sign In window when logging in.
