RF exposure information
This product complies with Industry Canada radiation exposure limits
set forth for an uncontrolled environment. This product is a radio
transmitter and receiver. It is designed and manufactured not to
exceed the emission limits for exposure to radiofrequency (RF)
energy set by Industry Canada. The guidelines are based on
standards that were developed by independent scientific
organizations through periodic and thorough evaluation of scientific
studies. The standards include a substantial safety margin designed
to assure the safety of all persons, regardless of age and health. The
exposure standard for wireless handsets employs a unit of
measurement known as the Specific Absorption Rate, or SAR. The
SAR limit set by Industry Canada is 1.6 W/kg. The tests are
performed in positions and locations (e.g., at the ear and worn on the
body) as required by Industry Canada for each model. The highest
SAR value for this model phone when tested for use at the ear is
0.554 W/kg and when worn on the body in a holder or carry case is
0.964 W/kg. For body-worn operation, this product has been tested
and meets the RF exposure guidelines when used with a Panasonic
accessory designated for this product and when used with an
accessory that contains no metal and that positions the mobile
device a minimum of 1.0 cm from the body. Use of other accessories
may not ensure compliance with the RF exposure guidelines.
