IMPORTANT! Maintenance should only be carried out by suitably trai-
ned staff, who are familiar with the instructions and information in this
manual.
Periodically check the reel for the leaks and smooth operation. Check that there is no fluid
leakage from the fittings and that the swivel joint and fittings are tight.
Periodically lubricate the hose for easy rewinding.
If necessary, lubricate the joint.
Make sure that there is no tension in the spring before starting any operations inside
the hose reel. Always close the feeding of fluid to the machine before performing any
maintenance or servicing.
Replace the flexible hose if it shows any signs of wear or damage.
Replace the seal inside the revolving joint if it is worn or damaged.
The replacement of the spring must only be carried out by trained staff, according to the
instructions supplied by the manufacture.
Any replacement of hose reel parts has to be done using original spare parts.
We advise you to contact the manufacturer for any possible anomaly and before replacing
any part.
WARNING: BEFORE REPLACING THE HOSE, MAKE SURE THE HOSE IS
COMPLETELY REWOUND AND THAT THE SPRING IS FULLY UNLOADED.
1) Remove the hose plastic stopper and rotate the drum slowly until the spring is completely
unloaded.
2) Insert a 5 mm hexagonal wrench into the axle of the spring linkage shaft. Unfasten the
nut with a 19mm wrench, holding in place with the hexagonal wrench (picture A).
3) Unwind the hose. Loosen the connection and replace the hose (picture B).
4) Rotate manually the drum in order to rewind completely the hose (in the direction of the
picture C).
WARNING: DO NOT TURN IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION!
5) Place the drum in the locked position (by ratchet hook).
6) Insert the hex wrench into the axle after the side bodies have been attached. Pre-load
the spring turning anti-clockwise the wrench (picture D) (see technical manual).
7) Hold the hex wrench firm and fasten the nut (picture A).
8) Make sure that the reel works correctly by checking that the hose has entirely come out,
eventually adjust the spring pre-loading.
9) Stop and lock the drum when the hose is completely in, in order to avoid to lose the spring
pre-loading.
10) Perform the fitting of the hose reel where it its seat.
11) Insert the hose-end between the guide rollers and place the hose rubber stop at the
desired distance from the end of the hose.
