Start-up
The device LED lights up green to indi-
cate that pairing has been successful. If
pairing has failed, the device LED lights
up red. Please try again.
If no pairing operations are per-
formed, pairing mode is exited
automatically after 3 minutes.
If you want to add another device
to the existing devices, first acti-
vate the pairing mode of the exist-
ing device and afterwards the
pairing mode of the new device.
If you want to add another radia-
tor thermostat, for example, you
must first pair the new radiator
thermostat to the existing radiator
thermostat. Afterwards, you can
pair the new radiator thermostat
with the existing window / door
contact.
If you are using several devices in
one room, you should pair all
devices with each other.
6.1.2 Pairing with the access point
(alternative)
First set up your Homematic IP
Access Point using the Homemat-
ic IP app so that you can use other
Homematic IP devices in the sys-
tem. For further information,
please refer to the operating man-
ual of the access point.

WebUI manual on our homepage
at www.homematic-ip.com.
To integrate the device into your sys-
tem and to enable control via the
Homematic IP app, you must first add
the device to your Homematic IP ac-
cess point.
To add the window / door contact,
please proceed as follows:
• Open the Homematic IP app on
your smartphone.
• Select the menu item "Add device".
• Remove the electronic unit (B)
from the bracket (A) by sliding it
upwards and pulling it forwards
(see
figure).
• Remove the insulation strip from
the battery compartment (F) of the
window / door contact. The pairing
mode is active for 3 minutes.
You can manually start the pairing
mode for another 3 minutes by
briefly pressing the system button
(C).
