• Connect the plug
connection between
the
intermediate
cable and the bow
thruster.
• Fit the control panel
and connect this as
shown in the section
Electrical installation
in the manual for the
bow thruster.
Check carefully that the bow thruster can be
allowed to turn before closing the housing!
• Test the operation of the bow thruster.
Never operate the bow or stern thruster without load!
Switch off the bow or stern thruster immediately if it no
longer provides thrust during operation!

If test running shows that the thrust direction of the bow thruster is
not the same as that shown by the direction switch on the control
panel the blue (no.1) and the white (no.4) wires on the relay must be
changed round.

Fitting II
• Fit the top part of the
housing.
• Position the packing
supplied
between
the contact surfaces
of the two halves of
the housing. Make
sure that the packing
is positioned prop-
erly.
• Tighten up the bolts
using a turning mo-
ment of 5 Nm.
If the motor is positioned vertically:
• Place the rubber blind nut in the hole, screw the bolt with the nut
on it in the blind nut and tighten this up sufficiently so that the
hole is sealed.
If the motor is positioned horizontally
If the motor is positioned horizontally support is absolutely essential.
• Place the rubber blind nut in the hole.
• Screw the bolt with the nut on it in the blind nut and tighten this
up until it touches the electric motor.
• Tighten the nut up against the blind nut.
• Hold the nut so that it cannot turn and then screw the bolt tighter
in order to seal the hole.
• Fit a support under the bolt.
