OPERATING THE IMPACT WRENCH
1.
Tighten the fastener as far as you can by hand before using the
impact wrench.
2.
Place the impact socket onto the bolt head or nut.
3.
Squeeze the trigger to start the tool.
4.
Apply power in short bursts to avoid stripping the nut or bolt.
•
Release the trigger if the tool stalls. The torque may inflict an
injury by twisting your arm. Use other methods and tools to
tighten or loosen the fastener.
5.
Maintain a firm grip, but allow the tool to guide your hands up or
down when a fastener moves vertically.
6.
Release the trigger to stop the tool.
7.
Use a torque wrench to check the fastener's torque.
IMPACT WRENCH CONTROLS
1.
Loosen fasteners by moving the
dial on the back of the drive head
counterclockwise. Align the dial
mark with the reverse mark on the
housing.
2.
Tighten fasteners by moving the
dial on the back of the drive head
clockwise. Align the dial marker
to select either the low, medium,
or high torque settings (small,
medium or large circles).
CARE & MAINTENANCE
1.
Maintain the tool with care. A tool in good condition is efficient,
easier to control and will have fewer problems.
2.
Inspect the tool components periodically. Repair or replace
damaged or worn components. Only use identical replacement
parts when servicing.
3.
Only use accessories intended for use with this tool. Follow
instructions for changing accessories.
