Using the play timer
Select this timer when you want to use the timer as an alarm clock.
You can wake up while listening to music (CD, tuner, tape or aux) ata
desired volume level and time.
Preparations
eMake sure that you have completed "Setting the time" on page 10.
ePress [POWER()/I} to turn the unit on.
The glide panel retracts enabling access to the operation buttons.
The figure shows how to set the play timer from 6:30 a.m. to 7:40 a.m.
Press [CLOCK/TIMER] to select "© PLAY".
Each time you press the button;
CLOCK— © PLAY—O REC

Turn (TUNE/TIME ADJ] to the right or left to
select the "ON" time.
@) Press [CLOCK/TIMER].
3 "OFF" time setting
G) Turn [TUNE/TIME ADJ] to the right or left to
select the "OFF" time.

Source selection
Select the desired source and then prepare for
playing.
When you play CD
Press [W] on the CD controt section and insert CD.
When you play tape
Press [W] on the cassette deck contro! section and insert tape.
When you play the radio
Press [TUNER/BAND] to select "FM" or "AM" and tune in the
desired station.
When you play a unit connected to the "AUX" terminals
Press [AUX].

Set the playback volume.
ó Press [© PLAY/© REC] to select "© PLAY".

Press [POWER()/I] to turn the unit off.
The timer play will start at the preset time with volume increas-
ing gradually up to the volume level you preset.
