system (connected to th e same outdoor unit) are already operated in a
different mode. In this case, the rest of the units in the same group can
only be operated in th e same mode.
Drying mode
Th e indoor fan turns to th e low -speed operation, disabling th e ch ange of fan speed.
Dry operation cannot be carried out at room temperature of less th an 18°C.
Th e dry is a microcomputer-controlled deh umidifying operation w h ich controls
excessive air-cooling according to th e room temperature of your ch oice. (Not usable
for h eating.)
1. Until reach ing room temperature of your ch oice
Th e compressor and indoor fan function is linked motion according to th e ch ange of
th e room temperature and automatically repeat ON/ OFF.
2. Wh en reach ing room temperature of your ch oice
Both th e compressor and indoor fan stop.
Wh en stop continues for 10 minutes, th e compressor and indoor fan are operated
for 3 minutes to keep th e h umidity low .
Heat mode
" D EFRO ST" display
Displayed only during th e defrosting operation.
" S TAND B Y" display
Displayed from th e start of h eating operation until th e moment w arm air blow s out.
Caution:
Never expose your body directly to cool air for a long time. Excessive
exposure to cool air is bad for your health, and should therefore be avoided.
W hen the air-conditioner is used together with burners, thoroughly ventilate
the area. Insufficient ventilation can result in accidents due to oxygen
deficiency.
Never place a burner at a place
conditioner. Doing so can result in imperfect combustion of the burner.
The microcomputer functions in the following cases:
- Air does not blow out w h en h eating starts.
• To prevent any cool air from escaping, th e indoor fan is gradually sw itch ed
in sequence from faint air o / eak air o /set air o according to the
temperature rise of the blo n out air. Wait a moment until the air o comes out
naturally.
- Th e fan is not moving at th e set speed.
• In some models, the system s itches over to faint air o
of th e room reach es th e set temperature. In oth er cases, it stops to prevent any
cool air from escaping during th e defrosting operation.
- Air o s out even if operation is stopped.
• Approximately 1 minute after th e stop of operation, th e indoor fan sometimes
rotates to eliminate extra h eat generated by th e electric h eater, etc. Th e fan
speed comes to low or h igh .

Auto (dual set point) mode
The set temperatures that are specified for the Cool/Drying mode and the Heat
mode w ill be used to automatically control th e room temperature to stay w ith in th e
set temperatures. This mode is especially effective during the in-bet een seasons,
hen the temperature difference bet een the highest and the lo est is large and

Room temperature is controlled to stay w ith in th e set temperature range th at
is specified for the Setback mode. By leaving sufficient temperature differential
betw een th e set temperature for cooling (upper limit) and h eating (low er limit) ,
it is possible to keep the room temperature ithin the specified range ithout
