CONNECTION OF ONE OR MORE POWER AMPLIFIERS
This preamplifier has two stereo preamplifier outputs with RCA connectors and one stereo preamplifier
output with XLR connectors for the main amplifier channels. In this way it is possible to drive six loudspea-
kers or bi-wire/bi-amp one pair of loudspeakers. The main amplifiers supply the system's loudspeakers
and the loudspeakers are connected to the outputs of these. Instead of each stereo main amplifier shown
here you can alternatively use two mono main amplifiers.
To connect one pair of loudspeakers you will need two main amplifier channels, for example one stereo
main amplifier. You can alternatively connect the amplifier(s) using RCA or XLR connection cables. In the
case of RCA, connect both sockets named "1" in the field "OUTPUT" (8) with the RCA input sockets of the
main amplifier channels (often marked as "INPUT" or "POWER AMP IN"). For this you need RCA cables.
In the case of XLR connection choose the output labelled "3". Please pay attention not to interchange right
with left channels. The letters "R" and "L" indicate the correct correlation. You may further use the SA-T8
preamplifier output marked with "2" for a headphone amplifier.
SA-T8
You can as well use all three stereo outputs at the same time, giving way for up to 6 main amplifier chan-
nels to supply their loudspeaker. For that all you need to do is connect all remaining stereo outputs (8)
with additional main amplifier channel inputs.
SA-T8
The fact that this amplifier is equipped with two RCA stereo preamplifier outputs enables you to biamp
your loudspeakers using adequate speakers and one or more additional main amplifiers. Your HiFi spe-
cialist will advise you on this.
CONNECTION OF THE POWER CABLE
Check that the electricity supply to your home is appropriate to the device. The required voltage and frequency
can be read on the back of the device beside the socket for the mains. If the electricity supply is appropriate,
push the inlet connector of the supplied mains cable firmly into socket for the mains on the back of the device
(10). Connect the other end of the mains cable to a mains socket.
