Prior to spreading soil onto the boxes a 10cm deep leveling layer of sand
EN
must be put down.
The ground is spread on top of the Boxes in layers by way of front filling with
a light digger or wheel loader of up to 15 t total weight.
These machines can only be driven over a sufficiently compacted layer of
ground of G1 material with a thickness of at least 50cm.
Only the vibration plates (no vibro-tampers!) described above may be
used for compacting the ground of the first filler layer. Above a compacted
covering height of 0.3m the compaction may only be done with heavy
vibration plates (maximum compaction force 6 t).
Heavy construction vehicles with maximum 50 kN wheel load (SLW 30) are
only permitted to drive over a compacted covering with a minimum height
of 0.8m.
In the case of trough-Box-infiltration-system with an infiltration trough and an
underlying Box-infiltration-tank, once the geotextile filter has been pulled back
a 0.10 m thick layer of sand is put on the gravel trench and a 0.3 m thick layer
of top soil on top of that. The ditch is then profiled with the intended border
incline and, if necessary, covered with ditch planting grid (to be procured
separately).
RAUSIKKO universal shafts with trough grating can be used for the trough
overflow. To prevent improper discharge, covering the grating with stone
packing (grain size > 64 mm) is recommended.
It is to be ensured that the infiltration trough is not driven over with
construction vehicles! In the area of the trough overflow the sand layer and
the top soil is recessed into a funnel shape. This funnel is filled with coarse
gravel of grain 8/32 until the trough overflow is covered.
09 Operational measures
If possible the infiltration system is not to be made operational until the
catchment area has settled and is green again.
