05 Installing the geotextile filter
EN
The Box infiltration tank is covered completely with the RAUMAT (min.
150 g/m
2
) non-woven for separation and filtration in order to prevent the
permeation of fine soil particles.
When using the SC or HC Boxes in the infiltration tank, it is not necessary to
cover the bottom of the tank with geotextile fabric, in accordance with the
Bavarian Environment Agency (LfU). In this case, only the side area and the
top of the tank is covered with geotextile fabric.
The geotextile fabric should be laid diagonally to the longitudinal axis of the
trench. Essential: The length of the geotextile sheet = the circumference of
the tank + 0.50m overlap. The overlap in the longitudinal direction and on
the front ends should also be approx. 0.5m.
Both ends of the geotextile sheet are fastened temporarily to the edges of
the trench, the trench walls or the trench sheeting.
Where pipes are to penetrate the geotextile, it is cut in a cross pattern.
See Section 6 for installation of RAUSIKKO Boxes.
