7.2 Sanding technique (N)
Caution! The GECKO STAR operates at a high sanding speed!
If you stay in one place for too long then this can cause dark burn marks on the floor. So, make su
re that the GECKO STAR is constantly moving when sanding!
In order to achieve optimum results when sanding the edge of floors the machine
must be moved over the floor with a backwards and forwards motion.
The design of the sanding disc and the sliding wall protection
enable an effective sanding all the way up to the wall.
7.3 Switching off the GECKO STAR (M)
Steps:
1
To switch off tip the machine somewhat rearwards so that the sanding attachment
is lifted off the floor.
2
Switch the machine off with the switch.
3
Unplug the mains plug.
4
Dispose of the sanding dust in the dust bag immediately in a fireproof, non-
combustible container. Seal the container with a fireproof, non-
combustible cover and store it in an outdoor location.
Note!
It is normally necessary to carry out several sanding processes in order to achieve a perfect
finish. Detailed information on the sanding processes can be found in the brochure:

8 Replacing the sanding attachment (O)
Note!

he mains connector unplugged to change the sanding attachment.
Steps:
1
Switch the machine off.
2
Unplug the mains plug.
3
Unscrew the screws (1 = TX30) completely.

belt onto the Vbelt drive pulley with slight tension.

Screw the screws in loosely at first. Do not tighten the screws.

Turn the knurled nut (4) until the vbelt is tighten, than retighten the bolts.
