9. aDDITIoNaL fuNCTIoNS
a) hold function
The Hold function keeps the currently indicated measured value in the displays to allow you to
read or record it easily.
If you test live wires, make sure that this function is deactivated before the
measurement starts. otherwise, the measurement will be incorrect!
also observe that the hold button has not been pushed at the beginning of
the measurement (display with the hold button pushed: "h"). If the hold func-
tion is activated before commencement of the measurement, no measured
value is displayed!
Push the button "H" (3) to activate the hold function. The Hold symbol "

b) LED lamp
With the DMM switched on, the button (7)
on and off. Every push will switch the LED lamp on or off. The activated lighting remains active
until the meter is switched off manually or via the automatic deactivation.
c) automatic power-off
An automatic deactivation function switches off the multimeter independently if it is not used for
an extended period. This protects the battery and extends its service life.
If the meter is not operated for approx. 15 minutes, it switches off automatically. Just before
deactivation, a signal is output 3x every 10 seconds to signal that the device will soon be
deactivated.
