Operation
Optimisation continuation
(Fig. 5-34)
• Start the rim compensation run, without the tyre
(START).
After the measuring run the OP.3 indication
appears.
• Mount the tyre and infl ate it to the correct infl ation
pressure (see note below).
Note: For mounting and demounting or tyre inversion
or rotation on the rim, always apply a suffi cient amount
of tyre lubricant on the tyre beads and the rim edges
and shoulders. Each time the position of the tyre is
changed on the rim, infl ate the tyre to overpressure
(approx. 3.5 bar) then defl ate to correct tyre pressure.
Make sure the centring line of the bead is correctly
positioned.
• Fit the wheel on the balancer.
• Position the valve exactly perpendicular to and
above the main shaft.
• Press ENTER (1) to acquire the valve position.
Indication OP.4 appears (Fig. 5-34).
• Start the run (START).
The measuring run is carried out. After the measuring
run two indications are possible:
OP.5 - H1
Further optimisation is not recommended, but is
possible.
OP.5 – I (1 reference mark Fig. 5-35)
Proceed with the OP program.
If indication OP.5 - H1 appears
If indication OP.5 - H1 appears, further optimisation
is not recommended, since the measurement values
which are used to establish whether optimisation is
advisable are below the pre-set limit value. However,
it is possible to continue optimisation in order to obtain
a minimisation of the noise level even if below the limit
value (vehicle with problems).
To continue optimisation:
• Proceed as in case of indication OP.5 – I is displayed
(given below).
To abort optimisation:
• Return to the balancing program by pressing the
STOP (5) key and run the compensation (
With indication OP.5 – I (1 reference mark Fig. 5-35)
• After the measuring run, turn the wheel according to
the direction indication and make a mark (Fig. 5-36)
on the right side of the tyre, exactly perpendicular
to and above the main shaft.
• Readjust the tyre on the rim so that the reference mark
is aligned with the valve (tyre changer) (Fig. 5-37).
