MATERIALS
A 1 Towbar Mainframe with European facing to 94/20/EC – A50-1 –
C1 1 Side Mounting Arm (Left hand)
C2 1 Side Mounting Arm ( Right hand)
D 8 M10 x 30mm x 1.25 Bolts, Lock Washers and Flat Washers (25mm O.D.)
E 8 M10 x 30mm x 1.25 Bolts, Nuts, Lock Washers and Flat Washers (25mm O.D.)
E1 2 Forward Side Arms
F 6 M10 x 25mm x 1.25 Bolts and Lock Washers
F1 2 Angled Cleats (Left hand and Right hand)
G 4 M10 x 25mm x 1.25 Bolts, Lock Washers and Flat Washers (25mm O.D.)
H 2 M10 x 30mm x 1.25 Bolts, Nuts and Lock Washers
J 4 M12 x 30mm x 1.75 Bolts, Nuts and Lock Washers
CB 2 M16 x 50mm Coupling Bolts, Nuts and Lock Washers
Z 1 ZEP35 Electrical Plate (not shown)
MONTAGE
1. Loosely attach Towbar Mainframe (A) to captive threads in the rear cross member using Bolts (D).
2. Loosely attach Forward Side Arms (E1) to captive threads on the lower face in the chassis using Bolts (G) and
Angled Cleats (F1) to captive threads on the vertical face of the chassis using Bolts (F). Note: Only 3 of the 4
holes are used on Angled Cleat (F1). Attach (E1) to (F1) using Bolts (H).
3. Loosely attach Side Arms (C1) and (C2) to Mainframe (A) with Bolts (J) and to forward cross member with Bolts
(E). Note: - On same models the forward cross member is not present, in which case attach Side Arms (C1)
and (C2) directly to Forward Side Arms (E1) using the lower holes (E) only. Finally tighten all bolts.
Note: This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z1) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball dimensionally
Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
Please refer to the vehicle specification for the trailer weight and nose limits, which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings: M8 - 27Nm, M10 - 53 Nm, M12 - 95 Nm , M14 - 150 Nm, M16 - 214 Nm
