MATERIALS
A 1 Cross Bar
B 6 M12 x 40mm x 1.25 pitch Bolts, Lock Washers, Flat Washers (30mm O.D.)
C 4 M12 x 40mm x 1.75 pitch Bolts, Lock Washers and Nuts
D 1 Side Bracket
E 1 Side Bracket
F 4 M10 x 35mm x 1.25 pitch Bolts, Lock Washers, Flat Washers (30mm O.D.)
EP 1 Electrical Plate
For use with:
DT137Q Detachable neck option – ZQ2037. Please refer to ZQ fitting instructions for installation
FITTING
1. Remove towing eye bracket and hand to customer.
2. Remove the two central plastic clips securing the bottom bumper edge.
3. Remove the thin metal cover from between the rear panel and bumper edge, which runs across the vehicle and is
attached to the rear panel of the vehicle with 4 nuts. Hand to customer.
4. Loosely assemble Side Brackets (D) and (E) to the bottom face of each chassis rail (avoiding exhaust support brackets)
using fasteners (B). Ensure Side Bracket is held against chassis face but can still allow movement when fasteners (C)
are added.
5. Insert fasteners (C) into sides of chassis rails through holes in Side Brackets (D) and (E).
6. Loosely attach Cross Bar (A) to Side Brackets (D) and (E) using fasteners (F), ensuring the bottom bumper edge is
below the securing tabs provided on the Cross Bar (A).
7. Refit the two central bumper securing clips through Bumper holes and tabs provided on the Cross Bar (A).
8. Assemble Neck (ZQ) and Electrical Plate (EP) to Cross Bar (A) using fasteners and instructions in Detachable Neck Kit.
9. Fully tighten all fasteners, starting with (C).
Note: This towbar must be used with a Witter Towball (part number ZQ2037 or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball dimensionally
Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
Please refer to the vehicle specification for the trailer weight and nose limits, which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings:
Grade 8.8 bolts: M8 - 24Nm, M10 - 52 Nm, M12 - 80 Nm, M14 - 130 Nm, M16 - 200 Nm
M12 – 120Nm, M10 – 70Nm M8- 35Nm
