K 3 M8 X 35 X 1.25 Bolts Grade 10.9, Lock Washer and Flat Washer (25mm OD)
L 1 M8 X 50X 1.25 Bolt Grade 10.9, Lock Washer and Flat Washer (25mm OD)
M 4 M12 x 1.75 Nyloc Nuts and Flat Washers (25mm OD)
P 1 Electrical Plate
For use with either
DT136A Flange neck option – ZF3003. Note: This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z11) or
Class A50-1 or A50-X towball dimensionally Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
DT136AQ Detachable neck option – ZQ3003. Please refer to ZQ fitting instructions for installation
FITTING
1. To remove the bumper, remove 2 underside plugs from bumper tags, and 2 underside screws from the arch. Pull bumper
edge down and Disconnect fog light and reverse lights by rotating anticlockwise.
2. Remove 3 arch screws either side and remove mud flap. Starting at the rear arch, gently pull outwards enough to allow
bumper ends to be pulled out. This will prevent unnecessary arch clip breakage.
3. At bumper ends remove exposed bolt either side. To remove the metal bumper hook take out inner plastic cover via 2
plugs and remove the 3
4. Open boot remove black tabs and remove hidden screw either side. Pull bumper tips outwards unscrew tip screws and
remove bumper rearwards.
5. To fit towbar, remove crash beam and rear support panels. On the exhaust, back box prise off the two rubber mountings.
6. Insert Bolt Strap (B) into left hand side chassis rail ensuring bolts drop through. Fit bracket (F) to the outside of the chassis
rail and loosely attach fixings (H).
7. Clean any sealant on entrance of chassis rail and locate part (E) into the chassis rail aligning holes on sidewall of chassis
and back panel. Leaving all loose, thread bolts ((J) through bracket (F) into captives of part (E). Using top two holes add
Bolts (K) to fasten (E) to back panel.
8. Similar process to opposite side, Insert part (C) into right hand side chassis rail ensuring bolts drop through. Fit bracket (G)
to the outside chassis rail and loosely use fixings (H) to attach to part (C).
9. Locate part (D) into the chassis rail aligning holes up on sidewall of chassis and back panel. Thread fastener (J) through
bracket (G) into captives of part (D).
10. Use the remaining Bolt (K) to attach (D) assembly to back panel and tighten. Bring the main cross bar (A) to the exposed
studs on (D) and (E). Use Nuts (M) followed by Bolt (L) into the back panel through Parts (A) and (D)
11. Tighten Bolts to their recommended torque
12. Cut Bumper as shown for centre profiles (protecting outer edge of bumper). In addition, cut away plastic rib on both
sides from the top to the first bumper clip as shown in picture 1. Refit all fasteners as per removal.
13. Attached preferred neck and electrical bracket following the additional instructions provided and fully tighten to
recommended torque.
Recommended torque settings: Grade 8.8 bolts: M8 - 27Nm, M10 - 53 Nm, M12 - 95 Nm, M14 - 150 Nm, M16 - 214
Nm Grade 10.9: M12 – 139Nm, M10 – 78Nm
