MATERIALS
A 1 Cross Bar with European facing to 94/20/EC A50-1
B 1 Painted Coupling Packer (10mm)
D 1 Right Hand chassis bracket
E 1 Left Hand chassis bracket
F 1 10mm Spacer Plate
G 6 M12 x 100mm Bolts (10.9 grade), Nyloc Nuts and12 Flat Washers (25mm O.D.)
H 4 M12 x 40 x 1.75mm Bolts and Nyloc Nuts
I 1 ZEP35 Electrical plate (not shown)
CB 2 M16 x 60mm Coupling Bolts, Nuts, Lock Washers
FITTING
1. Lower spare wheel and cut lower edge of bumper 20mm deep by 80mm wide.
2. No need to remove bumper. Remove bumper beam (bolts each side on chassis legs) and lower to floor. Attach Cross
Bar (A) and Chassis Brackets (D and E) to vehicle cross member using Bolts (G) with Flat Washers. Fully tighten
Bolts.
3. Attach Chassis Brackets (D and E) to Cross Bar (A) using Bolts (J). Fully tighten Bolts
4. Refit Cross member using original bolts and fully tighten bolts. Raise spare wheel (Note – It may be necessary to push
spare wheel forward slightly as it is raised to ensure correct location)
5. Fit coupling packer (B) when towball is fitted to lower set of holes.
Note: This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z11) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball dimensionally
Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
Please refer to the vehicle specification for the trailer weight and nose limits, which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings: M8 - 27Nm, M10 - 53 Nm, M12 - 95 Nm, M14 - 150 Nm, M16 - 214 Nm, Grade 10.9:
M12 – 139Nm
