Safety
Target group and qualification
Geberit pipe systems for gas are only allowed to be installed by a skilled person (acc.
to IEC 62079:2001).
Basic safety notes
The following safety notes must always be observed during mounting:
• Only use gas fittings with a yellow seal ring
• Perform a pressure test after mounting
Special safety notes
Mapress Stainless Steel Gas does not need any protection against corrosion due to
the material properties of the Cr-Ni-Mo steel. This also applies to concealed
installation and underfloor installation, providing the following construction situations
can be reliably excluded:
• Direct or indirect contact with construction materials or substances containing
chloride or other corrosion promoters
• Direct or indirect contact with electrical cables and electrical components
Professional corrosion protection is required if these construction situations cannot
be reliably excluded.
Intended use
The Mapress Stainless Steel Gas product range is only allowed to be used as
follows:
• For setting up gas installations in accordance with the country-specific approvals
and guidelines
• For gas installations with natural gases (NG) and liquefied gases (LPG)
