Adjusting the side brush contact pressure
1. Turn the side brush contact pressure twist grip in the de-
sired direction.

+ Increase the contact pressure
- Reduce the contact pressure
Picking up coarse dirt
1. Press the push handle down slightly so that the device
lifts up at the front.

2. Push the device over the coarse dirt with the front part
raised.
3. Lower the device again.
Emptying the waste container
WARNING
Risk of injury
The rotating roller brush can cause injuries.
Before removing the waste container, switch off the device
and wait until the roller brush stops rotating.
Note
Empty the waste container outdoors if possible, as dust is
released.
1. Turn the programme selector switch to "0" and wait until
the roller brush stops rotating.
2. Pull and release the filter cleaning handle several times.
3. Unlock the dust suction and swing it upwards.
4. Pull the waste container upwards by the handle and re-
move it from the device.
5. Dispose of the waste in accordance with the local regu-
lations.

ATTENTION
Risk of damage
Do not bump into objects when emptying the waste con-
tainer.
Shutting down
If the device will not be used for a longer period of time,
carry out the following actions.
1. Place the device on a level surface.
2. Turn the program switch to "0".
3. Set the lever for the roller brush contact pressure to the
"P" position.
4. Remove the battery pack.
5. Clean the device inside and out.
6. Park the device in a protected and dry place.
Transport
CAUTION
Risk of injury and damage
Be aware of the weight of the device during transportation.
1. Turn the program switch to "0".
2. Set the contact pressure lever to the "P" position.
3. To load the device, lift it by the carrying handles.
4. Secure the device to the wheels with wedges.
5. Secure the device with ropes or lashing straps.
6. When transporting in vehicles, secure the device
against slipping and tipping over according to the appli-
cable guidelines.

1. Perform shut down.
2. Observe the battery pack storage instructions in the op-
erating instructions.
DANGER
Risk of accident and injury from unintentional move-
ment of the device
Switch off the device and unplug the battery before starting
any care or maintenance work.
CAUTION
Short circuit hazard from water stream
Do not clean the device with a hose or high pressure water
jet.
DANGER
Health risk from dust
Wear a dust mask and safety goggles when cleaning with
compressed air.
ATTENTION
Risk of damage to the surfaces
Do not use any abrasive or aggressive detergents for
cleaning.
1. Blow out the inside of the device with compressed air.
2. Clean the interior and exterior of the device using a
damp cloth, wetted with a mild detergent.
Maintenance intervals
Performing maintenance activities is described in the
chapter "Maintenance Work".
1. Check the roller brush and side brush for wear and any
tangled pieces of tape.
2. Check that the control elements are fully functional.
1. Check the flat fold filter.
2. Check the moving parts to make sure that they move
smoothly.
3. Check the sealing strips in the sweeping area to check
for wear.
1. Check the tension of drive belts, check for wear and
check that they are functional.
1. Replace the sealing strips.
2. Replace the roller brush.
3. Replace the side brush.
Note
If maintenance is carried out by the customer, all service
and maintenance work must be carried out by qualified
staff. A Kärcher specialist dealer can be consulted at any
time if needed.
